The Ford Foundation: Transforming digital communications in the world of philanthropy
The Ford Foundation, one of the most influential foundation in the world, traditionally released its annual report as its flagship publication. Under the leadership of President Darren Walker in 2014, however, the foundation sought to create something entirely different.
I was responsible for partnering with the Ford Foundation Communications team to develop an overall content strategy for what the new digital platform would be. I designed and facilitated discovery and srategy workshops with leadership to create the inaugural "Ford Forum," and translated requirements to my team of designers and developers to build the final product. By breaking out of a single institutional voice and instead including perspectives from thought leaders, the Ford Forum was entirely new type of digital communication in the world of philanthropy.
